The City of Ironwood is dedicated to serving the citizens, businesses, and property owners within the City limits. The principal city offices are located in the beautiful Ironwood Memorial Building, with other departments headquartered at the Ironwood Public Safety building and the Public Works garage, the latter located in the Aurora Neighborhood. Part-time Building Official
The City of Ironwood is accepting applications for a part-time City Building Official. Applicants must have a minimum of an associate’s degree, five (5) years of experience as a building official and be registered with the State of Michigan as a building official, pursuant to the provisions of MSA 5.2949(32) et seq, certified or eligible for certification. Employment application and a complete job description are available at the City Clerk’s Office, 213 S. Marquette Street, Ironwood, Michigan, and on the City website at the following link: www.cityofironwood.org/government/departments/. Interested candidates should submit application, resume and cover letter to the City Clerk’s office. Applications should be submitted no later than March 5, 2021.
