Position Details
The position is responsible for all aspects of the police and fire fighting function of the city. Activities under the supervision of the Director include police patrols, fire protection, fire code inspection, criminal investigation, traffic safety, emergency management, etc. The position acts as staff liaison in the preparation of reports to the City Commission. The candidate will work in a team environment and will have excellent public relations, communication and computer skills.

Position Details
The City of Ironwood will be accepting applications for the position of a full-time Clerk I - Assistant City Clerk until 4:00 p.m. on Friday, September 15, 2017.  The City's application and job description are available in the City Clerk's Office, 213 S. Marquette Street between the hours of 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. and can also be found on the City website at www.cityofironwood.org.  This position will assist the City Clerk in all duties and responsibilities of the Clerks' Office, assist with Finance/Human Resources tasks as assigned, provide clerical support for the Department of Public Works, maintain a variety of records, correspondence, reports, will have public contact and handle and account for cash and other funds.  This position requires the following: 1) High school education, 2) Associate's degree in public administration, business, marketing or related field, 3) two (2) years of clerical experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience noted above.
